About the Role

UK Food Packaging is looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Customer Operations & Sales Coordinator to join our growing team.

This is a varied, fast-paced role at the centre of our day-to-day customer operations. You will be responsible for supporting customers from the point an order or enquiry is received through to processing, invoicing and delivery.

The position involves regular communication with customers, key accounts, warehouse teams and transport providers, alongside sales administration, order management and general office coordination.

Full training will be provided, making this a good opportunity for someone who is organised, confident communicating with customers and keen to develop within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Answer and manage customer calls and emails professionally.
Process customer orders and sales enquiries.
Check orders, product information and stock availability.
Prepare and send order confirmations.
Process and send customer invoices and delivery documentation.
Manage back orders and keep customers informed of outstanding products.
Follow up with customers regarding orders, deliveries and enquiries.
Support key customer accounts with their day-to-day orders and requirements.
Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time.
Book transport and liaise with external transport companies regarding collections and deliveries.
Track deliveries and courier shipments and investigate delays where required.
Inform customers of upcoming deliveries and resolve delivery-related queries.
Maintain and update customer, order and transport records.
Assist with quotations, sales information and general customer requests.
Maintain accurate filing and documentation for customer and key-account invoices.
Assist with exhibition administration, bookings and customer communications for upcoming trade events.
Support recruitment administration when required.
Order stationery and office supplies.
Carry out general office administration and operational duties as required.

Skills & Experience

Good written and verbal communication skills.
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
Comfortable managing several tasks and priorities throughout the day.
Good basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Able to work accurately when processing orders, quantities and customer information.
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, warehouse staff and external suppliers.
Previous experience in customer service, sales administration, order processing, logistics or office administration would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be provided.
