Working 20 hours per week across five days on a term-time only basis, you'll join a highly committed Safeguarding and Student Welfare Team at one of Bristol's highest-performing Sixth Form Colleges. This is a fixed term role from September – August 2027 (1 Year), [Actual salary: £13124.09, Term Time Only].

At St Brendan's Sixth Form College, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an organised, professional and compassionate Safeguarding Administrator to provide vital administrative support to the safeguarding and welfare teams.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play an important role behind the scenes, helping ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively, records are maintained accurately, and students receive the support they need when they need it most.

We're looking for someone who...

Understands that excellent administration can make a real difference to safeguarding outcomes and student wellbeing.

You'll bring:
Previous administrative or reception experience within a busy office environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
Confidence using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
An understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A proactive, professional and collaborative approach to work

Experience within education would be beneficial but is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with strong administration backgrounds from a range of sectors.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with our Safeguarding and Student Welfare Teams, you will:

Maintain safeguarding systems and ensure records are accurate, secure and up to date
Support the administration of referrals, concerns, disclosures and safeguarding cases
Respond professionally to enquiries from students, parents, staff and external professionals
Coordinate welfare referrals, appointments and waiting lists
Prepare documentation, reports and meeting papers
Organise and minute safeguarding meetings and multi-agency discussions
Support safeguarding communications, training and induction activities
Help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of safeguarding and welfare services across the College
