Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. The ideal applicant will have previous delivery driver experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with warehouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilise their driving expertise within a dynamic logistics environment.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbed lorries, on scheduled routes and deliveries
Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver
Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type, including driver certification if applicable
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
Experience driving flatbed lorries or similar vehicles preferred
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes and manage time effectively
Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment
