Full job description

We are seeking an experienced part-time Bookkeeper to work at our well-established Stone Masonry company in Glasgow.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated and be confident in their own abilities, as you will be solely responsible for your own workload and all submission deadlines. You must be competent in all aspects of Bookkeeping from data entry to taking the accounts to trial balance stage.

Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to: -

· Processing Sales & Purchase Invoices

· Job Costing

· Daily Banking/Processing Payments

· Bank Reconciliation

· Submitting VAT Returns

· Submitting CITB Levy Returns

· Submitting CIS Returns

· Processing Weekly Payroll

· Credit Control

· Maintaining all Ledger Accounts

· Processing Year End Journals

· Assisting with R&D Claims

Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role. Experience of the construction trade would be desirable but not essential.

Must have knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll and Sage Cloud Accounting. Must also have experience using Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook.

Salary will be discussed at interview and will be dependent on individuals previous work experience and qualifications. Hours of work to be discussed however we are very flexible.
