Full job description

Hours: Fridays (daytime hours), with flexibility to cover holidays, sickness and additional shifts when required.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Barista / Front of House Team Member to join our new premium loaded sandwich concept.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, creating great customer experiences and being part of a small team building something exciting.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers, taking orders, operating the till, preparing high-quality coffees and helping ensure every customer leaves with a great impression.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.

Take customer orders accurately using the till system.

Prepare barista-quality coffees and hot drinks.

Handle payments and maintain accurate till operation.

Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming front-of-house area.

Support the smooth running of service during busy periods.

Assist with serving and packaging food orders.

Understand and follow food hygiene, allergen and safe food handling procedures.

Complete cleaning tasks and maintain excellent hygiene standards.

Provide holiday and sickness cover for other team members when required.

Support the wider team to deliver a consistent customer experience.

A confident understanding of social media and willingness to actively contribute to growing the brand online. You will help showcase our food, create engaging content and en sure we are visible and memorable across social platforms.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:

Previous barista or café experience.

Confidence using a coffee machine and till system.

A friendly, positive personality and excellent customer service skills.

Excellent personal hygiene and a professional appearance.

Good organisation skills and attention to detail.

A basic understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness.

The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Flexibility to support the business during periods of holiday cover or staff absence.

Desirable:

Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.

Experience in hospitality, cafés, delis or food-led businesses.

Experience working with speciality coffee.
