Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working in a welcoming setting, contributing to a positive customer experience. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working with people and have an interest in coffee and hospitality.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and handle transactions efficiently at the counter or via the till system.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly.
Restock supplies such as coffee beans, milk, cups, and condiments to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers politely and addressing any special requests or dietary requirements.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Assist in opening or closing duties as required, including cash handling and cleaning procedures.

Skills

Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Willingness to learn about different beverages and customer service standards.
Previous experience in hospitality or retail is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude is most important.

This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills within the hospitality industry while providing exceptional service to our customers. We value team players who are eager to learn and contribute positively to our team dynamic.

Please note, this is a Summer role. There may be opportunity to move into another department in another site over winter but we don't currently have plans to keep this operation open over winter.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
