Full job description

Company Overview

Autolease is a growing commercial vehicle rental business providing flexible vehicle solutions to businesses throughout the UK.

Our proposition goes much further than simply supplying vans. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, flexibility and support, helping our customers minimise downtime and Keep Their Businesses Moving.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a confident, organised and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Coordinator to become a pivotal part of our sales operation.

The Role

This is a varied role combining sales support, customer engagement, CRM management and marketing.

Working closely with the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the internal activities that support our new business development and existing customer relationships.

You will help ensure our CRM is properly managed, marketing campaigns happen consistently, customers and prospects are followed up, appointments are coordinated and no commercial opportunity is missed.

We may use specialist external partners for some new-business appointment generation. Your role is broader: making sure the sales and marketing function behind that activity runs exceptionally well.

You'll also speak regularly with customers, so we're looking for someone who is confident and personable on the telephone as well as being highly organised behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Taking day-to-day ownership of our Zoho CRM system and maintaining accurate customer and prospect information.
Managing sales leads, opportunities and pipeline activity.
Coordinating and following up sales activity and quotations.
Supporting the Managing Director with customer appointments and new business opportunities.
Making customer care and follow-up calls.
Re-engaging existing and dormant customers.
Creating and managing email campaigns using Zoho Campaigns.
Helping develop customer newsletters and targeted communications.
Coordinating our LinkedIn and social media activity.
Maintaining our marketing and campaign calendar.
Supporting the preparation of proposals and customer communications.
Producing sales activity and pipeline reports.
Working with external marketing and appointment-generation partners.
Helping ensure that sales opportunities are progressed consistently from initial contact through to customer onboarding.

The Person

The right person does not necessarily need to come from the vehicle rental industry.

More important to us is finding someone who is:

Exceptionally organised and able to manage several activities at once.
Confident, friendly and professional on the telephone.
A strong written communicator.
Comfortable engaging with customers and senior business contacts.
Commercially minded and interested in how businesses win and retain customers.
Proactive; someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it.
Confident using CRM and digital systems.
Comfortable working with email marketing and social media.
Detail-focused without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Able to work independently whilst enjoying being part of a close-knit team.

Experience with Zoho would be useful but is not essential. Previous experience in sales support, marketing, account management, customer service or business development would all be relevant.

Flexible Hours

We recognise that experienced and talented people don't always want, or aren't always able, to work a traditional full-time schedule.

We are therefore very open to discussing full-time or part-time hours for the right person.

Ideally, we would like someone to work Monday to Friday, but the hours within those days can be flexible.

For example, a working pattern such as:

10:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday

9:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday

could work well.

This may suit someone looking for a professional and rewarding role that fits around school hours or other commitments.

We are more interested in finding the right person than insisting upon traditional working hours.

Why Office Based?

This is intentionally an office-based position.

The successful person will play a pivotal role between Sales, Operations, Finance and Management, and we want them to become an integral part of the Autolease team.

Being in the office will allow them to build strong relationships across the business, understand how Autolease operates and develop the knowledge required to communicate confidently with our customers.

Qualifications

Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with B2B marketing strategies and understanding of IT tools used in marketing campaigns
Experience in using CRM systems
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Basic understanding of marketing principles, IT systems, and digital communication channels
