Full job description

Job Summary

We are a friendly, independent community pharmacy based in Netherton and are looking for a reliable delivery driver to join our team on a long-term basis.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering prescription medications and healthcare products safely and efficiently to our customers’ homes. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure a positive experience for every patient, helping us maintain our commitment to exceptional service.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic healthcare delivery team, combining driving expertise with excellent communication skills.

We are open to a job share between two suitable candidates.

Hours

Approximately 15 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Occasionally, shifts may run slightly longer depending on the number of deliveries.

Responsibilities

Deliver prescription medications safely and efficiently to elderly and housebound patients.
Collect unwanted or expired medications from patients for safe return to the pharmacy.
Handle all medications safely, securely, and confidentially in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
Provide a friendly, professional, and compassionate service to patients.
Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Report any concerns or issues encountered during deliveries to the pharmacyteam.

Requirements

Hold a full UK driving licence.
Be reliable, punctual, and well organised.
Have a friendly, caring, and patient-focused approach.
Be trustworthy and able to maintain patient confidentiality.
Enjoy working independently while being part of a supportive team.
Be looking for a long-term position.

Previous delivery experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent patient care.
