Complex Care Support Worker

A Complex Care Worker provides high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex health and physical care needs in their own homes.

The role involves supporting a young person with ASD, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, sensory and social communication needs.

This role is weekends only, 4 hours per week with a view to increase to weekday evenings.

£14.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care while promoting dignity and independence.
Staff should have experience of epilepsy awareness, autism-informed approaches, positive behaviour support and safe community access
Provide safe moving and handling support using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Support with medication administration in line with care plans and company policies.
Observe and report changes in an individual’s physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, incident reports, and daily documentation ensuring safeguarding procedures are following and reporting any concerns or changes appropriately.
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends.

Our Ideal Candidate

Must have have a clean driving licence and use of a car with business use insurance
Minimum 1 year’s experience supporting individuals with complex care needs in a home care, community, or residential setting.

Experience of epilepsy awareness, autism-informed approaches, positive behaviour support

Calm, patient and confident in supporting a young person with complex physical, medical, sensory and social communication needs.
Strong understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, dignity, and promoting independence.
Confident in delivering personal care, moving and handling, and following detailed care plans and clinical protocols.
Excellent communication, observation, and teamwork skills with the ability to respond calmly in challenging situations.
Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
