Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks efficiently, collecting glasses, washing them in the machine and putting them back on the shelves. Ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a lively environment, contributing to the overall success of our establishment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a passion for excellent customer service. However this is not essential as training will be given.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to responsible alcohol service policies.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting repeat business.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality, particularly in serving or bartending roles within a restaurant or bar environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills.
Excellent time management to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Friendly, approachable manner with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
