Full job description

About the Role:

MSK are seeking an organised, proactive and hands-on Storage Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and storage facility.

This is a varied role that combines warehouse management, operational planning, client communications and administration. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the facility, maintaining exceptional standards, leading a small team and delivering an excellent service to our clients.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the operation, ensuring the warehouse remains safe, organised and efficient while building strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operation of the storage facility and warehouse.

Supervise, organise and support driver and warehouse operative.

Plan daily workloads, collections, deliveries and storage movements.

Liaise directly with clients, responding to enquiries, arranging bookings and providing regular updates.

Carry out condition surveys of items entering and leaving storage, including photographs and written reports where required.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock movements are correctly recorded.

Prepare and maintain records to support accurate monthly invoicing.

Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, secure and operating efficiently at all times.

Maximise storage capacity through effective planning and organisation.

Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed and maintained throughout the facility.

Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally while maintaining excellent customer service.

Support warehouse operations and assist the team during busy periods when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience managing a warehouse, storage or logistics operation.

Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Experience leading and motivating a small team.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.

A proactive, practical and hands-on approach to management.

A full UK driving licence is desirable.

Forklift experience is desirable

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00.

Due to the nature of the role, a flexible approach to working hours is required to meet operational and client requirements. Rare weekend working may be required and is optional, this will be paid in addition to your salary.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
