Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will provide essential support in managing financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with administrative tasks related to accounts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in finance within a professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for applicants eager to gain practical experience in account management.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and updating account information
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports efficiently and accurately
Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments regarding account queries
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and correspondence
Support the finance team with administrative duties such as data entry and document management
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations

Qualifications

Proven organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience in an administrative or finance-related role is advantageous but not mandatory
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

Pay: £31,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
