Business Development Executive (Lead Generation & Strategic Maintenance Contracts)

Location: Thetford, Norfolk

Are you a proactive, relationship-driven commercial professional who excels at opening doors and driving high-value opportunities across the finish line? This is an exciting opportunity to power the expansion of Anglia Door Systems (ADS) across the region.

With 23 years of established expertise, ADS is a trusted provider of premium industrial door installations, automation systems, 24/7 emergency repairs, and planned maintenance across the East of England. As we scale our footprint, we aren't looking for a transactional quick-seller. We are seeking an engaging lead generation specialist who can identify prospective clients, introduce our technical reliability, and secure long-term maintenance contracts across both our industrial and automation divisions.

You will enjoy standard lead-generation focus alongside full commercial ownership on major wins: start the conversation, discover site needs, and coordinate with internal estimators. While standard quotes hand over to account management, you will personally guide larger strategic contracts all the way through to final sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential commercial partners across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire, focusing on facilities with high door and automation density.
Contract Acquisition & Closing: Focus on securing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts across both industrial door and entry automation lines—personally managing and seeing larger strategic agreements through to final sign-off.
Relationship & Discovery: Build warm, consultative connections with facility managers, warehouse owners, and commercial landlords to accurately gather site requirements.
Collaborative Handover: Coordinate with internal estimating teams for precise pricing, passing standard day-to-day leads to Account Managers while maintaining hands-on ownership of key accounts.
Targeted Market Expansion: Focus on high-yield sectors—including Manufacturing, Logistics, Defence, and Food/Cold Chain—positioning ADS as the regional partner of choice.

About You

A communicative, consultative self-starter who combines commercial awareness with the ability to initiate, nurture, and close valuable business contracts.

Proven Experience: Track record in B2B business development, targeted lead generation, or key account acquisition.
Consultative Approach: Exceptional communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport, navigate complex buyer needs, and negotiate long-term contract sign-offs comfortably.
Structured & Thorough: Organised in gathering accurate technical details and navigating the complete sales lifecycle for major deals.
Industry Agnostic: Background in industrial doors or automation is beneficial but not required—we provide full, comprehensive technical training. What matters is your ability to generate quality leads and close high-value partnerships.
