Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self Employed Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of working independently while delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various projects. As a self-employed professional, you will be responsible for transforming spaces with precision, creativity, and efficiency. Your expertise will help clients achieve their vision for both residential and commercial environments, ensuring every detail is perfected. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on independence, take pride in their craftsmanship, and possess excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail
Interpret project specifications and work plans to deliver results that meet client expectations
Manage your own schedule and coordinate with clients to plan project timelines effectively
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations at all times
Communicate clearly with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any adjustments needed
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in excellent condition for optimal performance

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Valid driving license to facilitate transportation between different job sites
Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with clients and team members
Ability to interpret technical drawings, work orders, and project specifications accurately
Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to painting, decorating, and construction sites
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects efficiently
