Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Chef/Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant kitchen environment, preparing and serving high-quality breakfast dishes in a professional setting. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in culinary arts, with a focus on breakfast meal preparation, and possess a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. This position is suitable for individuals looking to develop their skills within a reputable establishment that values creativity, teamwork, and excellence in service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for breakfast menus, including chopping, peeling, and measuring
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders
Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional service and optimise kitchen operations
Assist with stock control, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods specific to breakfast dishes
Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn and develop new skills
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or shifts as required by the business needs
