Job Title: Business Development Executive

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday

Line Manager: Commercial Director

Role Overview

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will support the growth of the business by identifying and engaging prospective customers, generating qualified leads, and developing relationships within our target markets. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop a career in business development within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify potential new business opportunities within the legal, insurance, and claims management sectors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers using CRM systems and sales databases.
Conduct outbound prospecting activities including telephone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
Qualify leads and arrange meetings for senior sales colleagues where appropriate.
Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and services to effectively communicate value propositions.
Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and customer communications.
Build positive relationships with prospective customers and maintain regular contact.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and opportunities within CRM systems.
Assist with market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
Attend industry events, exhibitions, and conferences as required to support lead generation activities.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a positive customer experience.
Support the achievement of team sales and business development objectives.

Personal Specification:

Essential

Previous experience in a sales, business development, account management, customer service, or lead generation role.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Experience using CRM systems or a willingness to learn.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
Professional and consultative approach when engaging with customers.
Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

Experience within the legal, insurance, healthcare, or professional services sector.
Experience of prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
Knowledge of the personal injury or medico-legal market.
Experience attending networking events or industry exhibitions.

Package:

Salary commensurate with experience.
25 days holiday per annum.
Private healthcare (qualifying period required).
