Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic financial team. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data management. Your contributions will help maintain smooth financial processes, facilitate timely reporting, and uphold the integrity of our financial records. Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, maintaining precise records in various accounting systems including Workday and Xero
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate vendor balances
Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing reports and supporting documentation
Support the accounts receivable function by invoicing clients and tracking payments efficiently
Maintain organized records of all financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and facilitate smooth workflow across teams

Skills

Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
Strong knowledge of accounts payable procedures and financial data entry practices
Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to liaise with vendors, team members, and other stakeholders
Understanding of financial services industry standards and compliance regulations
