SIA Security Shift Supervisor – Construction Site

Location: Central London
Positions available: 4
Job type: Full-time, shift-based
Sector: Construction Security

Syrex Protection is recruiting four experienced SIA Security Shift Supervisors for a major construction project in Central London.

This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring strong leadership, clear communication and proven experience working within a live construction environment. You will be responsible for supervising the security team during your shift and maintaining a safe, professional and controlled site.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and support the security officers assigned to your shift.
Maintain effective access and egress control for personnel, visitors and vehicles.
Ensure site security procedures and client instructions are followed.
Conduct shift briefings, patrols and security checks.
Maintain accurate daily logs, occurrence books and incident reports.
Manage shift handovers and communicate outstanding issues clearly.
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
Liaise professionally with the client, construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Monitor officer performance, attendance, presentation and conduct.
Escalate security risks, breaches and operational concerns promptly.

Essential requirements

Applicants must have:

A valid frontline SIA licence.
A valid CSCS card.
Previous security experience within the construction industry.
Previous supervisory or team-leading experience.
The ability to work in Central London.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good report-writing and incident-management skills.
A professional, reliable and confident approach.
The right to work in the UK.
