Are you passionate about helping young people thrive, overcome barriers and achieve their full potential?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Progress Coach to join our Pre-16 Curriculum Area within Access 2 Learning in Abingdon. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting students' personal development, wellbeing, attendance, progress and progression whilst delivering engaging Core programme sessions.

About the Role

As a Progress Coach, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in group settings, providing pastoral support and guidance that enables them to succeed both academically and personally.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver engaging Core sessions to Pre-16 students.
Provide high-quality pastoral support and mentoring.
Monitor student attendance, punctuality, behaviour and progress.
Develop action plans and target-setting activities to maximise achievement.
Work collaboratively with curriculum staff, Student Engagement, Careers teams and external agencies.
Signpost students to appropriate support services where required.
Support the development of employability, study and life skills.
Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Experience:

A degree or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence working with students, parents, employers and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive, solution-focused approach.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
A passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals.

Desirable Experience:

Experience of working with young people.
Experience delivering guidance, coaching or mentoring support.
