Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office or administrative experience to contribute to a welcoming and efficient environment. The position is paid and suitable for organised, personable candidates eager to support patients and the dental team.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders using practice management software
Answer phone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously, directing calls as necessary
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
Liaise with dental staff to coordinate patient care and scheduling needs
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
Assist with administrative duties related to patient billing and insurance claims

Skills

Dental reception experience is essential
Priority will be given to Qualified Dental Nurse
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using office software and practice management systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
