Modification Centre Operative

Location: 63-69 Moorbridge Road, Bingham, Nottinghamshire, NG13 8GG

Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week, permanent contract

TLA Distribution Ltd are a well-established diverse business and an ever-growing company with over 90 employees across 5 branches throughout the UK, our team of dedicated, knowledgeable staff provide excellent technical support to our customers for automation and control products throughout the industrial electrical industry. We believe that our friendly, supportive atmosphere with ongoing training makes our team the best.

The TLA Modifications Centre is staffed by skilled 3D CAD technicians and robotics/CNC experts, utilising advanced automated machinery to deliver precise, custom modifications to our customers before shipment.

To further strengthen our team, we are seeking a Modification Centre Operative to join our fast-paced department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for adapting, modifying, and assembling panels to meet specific customer requirements.

The Role

In this position, you will be responsible for adapting, modifying, and assembling panels to meet specific customer requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, precision, and timely completion of bespoke modifications.

Key Responsibilities

· Opening/repackaging of parts and components

· Operating CNC machines and bespoke metal-cutting equipment

· Performing sub-assembly work on a range of components

· Precision cutting of enclosures· Custom Panel building· Creating Laser Engraved and Etched Stainless Steel or Anodised Aluminium Labels· Painting enclosures

· Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently

· Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
Storing stock according to established procedures
Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules
Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner
Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times

· Driving – Applicants must have a valid full UK driving licence

· Communicate and cooperate with manager and coworkers

About You

· Experience working within a warehouse environment

· Ability to interpret technical drawings (desirable)

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn

This role offers the opportunity to work in a technically advanced environment where your contribution directly impacts the quality of our final products.
