About Us

Mary Seacole Housing Association provides specialist housing-related support to individuals with complex needs. We are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centered services that empower people to move towards independence.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide overnight support, safety, and crisis response within our male accommodation service. Applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified candidates.

This is a frontline role where you will ensure the safety, well being, and stability of clients throughout the night, responding to risk, providing emotional support, and maintaining a calm and secure environment.

The role includes working across multiple sites during the night where required to meet client needs.

Shift Pattern: This role operates on a two-week rolling rota:

Week 1: Monday & Thursday
Week 2: Friday only

The rota then repeats on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients overnight, carrying out regular welfare checks.
Respond to crisis situations, safeguarding concerns, and disclosures of trauma.
Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment.
Carry out night-time assessments and contribute to support and safety plans.
Monitor the building, reporting health and safety or maintenance issues.
Work collaboratively with external agencies and internal teams.
Maintain accurate case notes, incident reports, and safeguarding records.

About You

You will be compassionate, resilient, and able to work confidently in a lone-working, night-time environment.

You will have:

Strong experience supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and use sound judgement.
