Sales Executive Job Description

Location: Aylesford, Kent (in-person)Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Pay: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus performance-related bonus opportunities. Reporting to: Head of Sales & Marketing

About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, personable and driven Sales Executive to join our growing team at Edenwood Place, an award-winning exclusive-use wedding and events venue in the heart of Kent.

As the first point of contact for prospective clients, you'll take ownership of the sales journey from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking, delivering exceptional venue showrounds, building lasting relationships and helping clients choose Edenwood Place for one of the most important days of their lives.

Every enquiry is an opportunity to create a lasting impression, and your ability to connect with clients, understand their vision and inspire confidence will play a vital role in converting enquiries into unforgettable celebrations at Edenwood Place.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Enquiries

Take ownership of the sales journey for all new enquiries, managing the client experience from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking and successful handover to the Events Coordinator.
Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, email and online enquiries, qualifying each enquiry to understand the client's vision, priorities and requirements.
Build rapport with prospective clients, delivering an exceptional first impression and creating a personalised experience that inspires confidence throughout the sales journey.
Manage an active sales pipeline, proactively following up enquiries through multiple touchpoints to maximise conversion opportunities and ensure no opportunity is missed.
Provide accurate information regarding venue packages, pricing and availability, preparing bespoke quotations where required.
Handle client questions and negotiate professionally whilst maintaining venue value.
Promote current offers and campaigns during client interactions where appropriate.
Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, achieving individual and team sales targets.
Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and contribute to continuous improvement of the sales journey.

Venue Showrounds

Conduct engaging and personalised venue showrounds for prospective wedding and event clients
Tailor each showround to the client's individual vision.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of the venue, suppliers, packages and services.
Create a memorable experience that encourages clients to book.

Administration & Systems

Maintain accurate records within the CRM - enquiry notes, communication notes and booking information up to date.
Produce accurate contracts and booking documentation.
Monitor the sales inbox and ensure enquiries are responded to within expected timescales.
Manage the sales pipeline from enquiry through to booking.
Monitor deposits and booking milestones.
Ensure accurate handover information is provided to the Events Coordinator.

Marketing & venue promotion

Attend and support Open Days, showcases and wedding fairs.
Represent Edenwood Place at all promotional events where required.
Assist with lead generation activities.
Capture content opportunities for social media where appropriate.
Act as an ambassador for the Edenwood Place brand.

Team & Event Support

Work closely with the Events Coordinator to ensure a seamless handover once bookings are confirmed
Assist the wider events team with administrative and coordination tasks where required
Ensure smooth communication between departments to deliver successful events
Attend sales meetings
Support the Head of Sales with delivery of the sales & marketing plan
Contribute ideas to improve the customer journey and sales performance

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Ability to build rapport quickly and establish trust with clients from the first interaction.
Previous experience in a customer-facing sales role.
Confident presenting to clients and conducting face-to-face appointments.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience using CRM systems, email management and basic administration tools.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple enquiries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence due to the venue location.

Desirable:

Experience within the hospitality, weddings or events industry.
Experience using Sonas or similar venue management software.

AvailabilityThis role requires flexibility and varied availability, including:

Weekdays (9am - 5pm)
