Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a keen interest in creating exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in food production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role is a early shift role to cover breakfast and lunch prep duties for our conference lunches, so early starts and mid shift finishes will be a must

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and timely service.
Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special events.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards throughout all kitchen processes.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food presentation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in team management and supervising staff.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Creativity in developing new recipes and menu items that enhance the dining experience.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
