Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to patient safety and wellbeing. Prior pharmacy technician experience and knowledge of medication administration are highly valued.

Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and reordering supplies as necessary
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting
Offer compassionate patient care, addressing questions or concerns related to medications or treatments
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is essential
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical products
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous but not essential
A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
