Full job description

Painter & Decorator (sub-contractor position)

Location: Plymouth to Exeter (covering sites across Devon)

Join Our Team

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Painter & Decorator to join our growing team. You’ll be working on a variety of residential and commercial projects across Plymouth, Exeter, and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Whether you’re an experienced decorator with several years in the trade or a newly qualified painter looking to build your career, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Interior and exterior painting and decorating.
Surface preparation including filling, sanding and priming.
Wallpaper hanging (desirable but not essential).
Working as part of a small, friendly team.
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Travelling to jobs across the Plymouth to Exeter area.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in painting and decorating or a recognised painting and decorating qualification.
Full UK driving licence.
Own vehicle (essential).
Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Desirable

CSCS Card.
Experience in both domestic and commercial decorating.
Ability to carry out basic repairs and preparation work.
