Summary

Genmed are seeking an On-Site Service Delivery Manager to be based at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham (ROH). The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day activities and service delivery of the Genmed managed service to the Trust. Along with the On-Site Co-ordinators, they will be expected to manage the ordering of consumables, stock levels, stock rotation, management of suppliers, equipment maintenance, benchmark pricing and negotiation of savings. They will also ultimately deliver the contract KPIs to ensure that procedures are not delayed due to a Genmed quality failure, thus avoiding service credits. They will also assist the Senior Service Delivery Manager and the National Operations Manager as and when required.

Accountabilities

To support the Senior Service Delivery Manager and National Operations Manager in the effective delivery of the Genmed managed service at ROH and the day-to-day management of the service.
To proactively manage all subcontractors to Genmed and the Trust.
To manage the On-Site Co-ordinators, with support from the Senior Service Delivery Manager as and when required.
To represent and promote Genmed managed services and their efficiency alongside the corporate values at the Trust.
To ensure that stock is distributed and shelved in a timely manner from delivery, for the areas managed by the team.
To ensure that all purchase orders placed by Genmed are authorised in accordance with the Trust requirements and that all procedures are adhered to.
To ensure that stock is managed correctly including rotation, expiry monitoring and stock take.
To train and support Trust staff in the use of Genmed systems.
To adhere to the reporting system and processes and effectively manage any exceptions.
To liaise and communicate effectively with Trust staff at all levels and to be the first line of communication for the resolution of any queries raised by them.
To carry out quarterly review meetings with the suppliers to Genmed and the Trust and to present feedback to the suppliers from the clinical teams to ensure they are adhering to the contracts KPIs.
To liaise and communicate effectively with all Genmed staff.
To provide support to theatres (pre & post-op) with administration and purchasing.
To conduct and support supplier negotiations and meetings, always ensuring best value for the Trust.
To provide data analysis to the Senior Service Delivery Manager and NOM as and when requested.
To aid the management team and to take responsibility for clinical trials and provide evaluation reports.
To manage and coordinate the monthly Theatre Improvement Group (TIG) meetings.
To provide other unspecified assistance on an ad-hoc basis as and when required by the Senior Service Delivery Manager and National Operations Manager and the Trust.
To help and assist with the Trust savings plan and CIP targets.
To ensure all loan-kit has been ordered in a timely manner and regularly review and prepare reports to management.
To assist with the maintenance schedule for the Trust and action any expiring contracts in a timely manner.
To, when necessary, attend Trust procurement meetings and support the wider procurement and supply chain activities.
To work with the clinical team at the Trust to ensure reports from inventory control systems are accurate and meaningful.
To work with the leadership teams to understand the workload, manage the stock and suppliers accordingly.

Line Management

There is a small team of on-site coordinators at the Trust who the incumbent will be line managing. This could potentially increase in time and the incumbent will need to have previous experience of people management skills.

Contacts and Relationships

This role requires high levels of positive and effective interaction with all levels of customers, suppliers, and management teams. The On-Site Service Delivery Manager is a Genmed representative on-site and as such interaction with the Trust, their staff and supplier staff are required to be of the highest professional level. Exceptional levels of customer service are required and as such are key to this position.

Work Environment

The position is based in the same vicinity as the Trust operating theatres. As a result of this it is likely that the incumbent will be required to wear Trust provided surgical scrubs. There is some manual handling involved with this position in the form of handling stock however, the candidate will not need any special licences in relation to this.

Genmed offer all employees 26 days of annual leave for each calendar year or the pro-rata equivalent for part time, in addition to all UK recognised bank holidays. You will also become eligible for the discretionary company bonus scheme.

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
