We have been established for over 37 years of and operate from a substantial 2.5-acre site in Ilkeston, providing heavy side building materials, landscaping products, and timber to both trade professionals and the general public. Our commitment is to deliver quality products and exceptional service to our customers.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily operational activities, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with various computer software applications. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of our business operations.

Responsibilities

Checking sales orders are paid prior to processing pick notes.

Processing completed picking notes into Delivery notes.

Creating picking note shortfall notifications from the picking notes.

Investigating the shortfalls.

Creating a stock adjustment if necessary.

Stock data integrity. This will include daily perpetual inventory checks.

Receipting delivery of stock purchase orders into our trading system.

Assisting accounts with receipting & return queries.

Ordering aggregates & packaging materials for the yard.

Ensure all H&S checks & inspections are carried out as scheduled e.g.

Fire alarm call point check, monthly emergency lighting function testing & monthly checks.

Arranging & booking in of contractors to carry out servicing e.g. Fire extinguisher servicing, PAT testing.

Updating Opus e.g. Uploading completed work equipment checks and any associated work sheets.

Qualifications

Proven administrative experience in a busy environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Good computer literacy and IT knowledge for efficient operations.

Package / Remuneration.

The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, we regard this position as a critical role in our operations team and the salary reflects this.

The hours are Monday to Friday 7.20am to 5pm. The package includes 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, plus Christmas Shutdown

Pay: £34,000.00 per year
