Job Summary

Connect House are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our care team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality person centred support to individuals in the care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, well-being and dignity are maintained at all times. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help create a positive environment where residents feel valued and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while developing your skills within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities including (but not limited to) bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, promoting independence and dignity.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and update documentation using IT systems efficiently.
Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns promptly.
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by collaborating with colleagues and participating in ongoing training.

Requirements

Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Basic IT skills for updating electronic care records and documentation.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
A caring attitude combined with reliability, patience, and professionalism.
