Full job description

Role: Logistics Operative – Reach Driver

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Mon to Fri 0900-1730, 1 in 4 Saturdays

Purpose Of the Role:

To support the efficient day-to-day operation of warehouse activities, ensuring the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
Accurately checking and verifying all load documentation
Labelling goods and transporting them to designated storage areas
Working collaboratively with team members to support daily operations
Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ensuring MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is kept clean and serviceable
Carrying out handballing and de-topping of goods as required
Using scanning systems to accurately record and track pallet movements

The ideal candidate will have

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong planning and organisational abilities
Effective problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with a strong level of accuracy
Proficient IT skills
Committed to delivering a high standard of customer service
Strong time management skills
Adaptable and able to respond positively to change
Confident and approachable manner
Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a reach truck (D2 licence)
