Full job description

Do you have the skill and experience to be an R6 Gas Project Manager for our Specialist Engineering Group? If so, we want to hear from you!

Side Note: Due to Health and Safety and the nature of the role. Mandatory qualifications and experience are required as below. Those that do not possess the relevant qualifications will not be shortlisted.

Position Title: Project Manager, R6 IP/MP

Job Purpose: Accountable to the Head of R6/IP Operations for the coordination and delivery of R6/IP projects as directed, specifically the ownership and execution from End 2 End of R6/IP projects and the management of R6/IP gas-operations Teams to achieve directed targets and goals, whilst ensuring compliance, safety, efficiency and cost-effective utilisation of JDT assets.

Mandatory Qualifications /Competencies:

SHEA Gas
NWRSA (Supervisor/ Dual)
NCO Level 2 (Svc/mains) or Gas Distribution for Managers (GDM) Qualification and proven experience
SCO Core, PTW, Forms of Authority, RO

Desired Qualifications/Competencies:

IOSH Managing Safely Experience

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direction and management of assigned gas operations Teams in the delivery of allocated projects (delivering the directed requirement), as JDT authorised contractual representative.

2. Delivery of allocated projects as per the operational plan as directed by the Plans Dept to achieve targets and KPIs, and on time, whilst ensuring all resources are used cost effectively and within set budgets.

3. Supporting Head of R6/IP Operations with administration of allocated gas ops Teams (incl starters' packs, ensuring quals/competencies/training needs, Team holiday plan etc), conducting staff induction as required.

4. Ownership from End 2 End of allocated projects from planning, through delivery to closure phases (incl directed tasks such as, but not restricted to, Due Diligence, site visits, resource planning, construction phase planning (push plan), TM development & coord, Client & LA liaison, site clears etc).

5. Liaison with supporting functions and internal departments (ie Plans dept/CustCare/Fitters/Reinstatement) to meet allocated Teams' requirements, ensure situational awareness, reducing friction & reactive activity,

6. Use of PULSE as the primary project planning, management and reporting tool, and ensuring own and gas ops Teams' timely data input to allow full sight of all Tier 1 activity, progress and issues.

7. Act as Competent Person (CP) for gas operations in support of allocated Teams, as and when required. (SCO5). Act as Authorising Engineer (AE) for issuing Permits to Work in support of allocated Teams (or if under client's system, POC for liaison with Client to issue Permits to Work). (SCO1-2AE)

8. Production of ROs (Routine Operations Plans) in support of allocated projects (aspirational, not there yet).

9. Maintenance of engineering and safety standards employed by Teams to ensure compliance and a safe place to work, incl conducting audits, assurance checks and training/tool box talks, CAT training and use etc.

10. Ensuring own and Teams' compliance with company Policies and procedures/ SOPs.

11. Capture and reporting up of financial elements of projects (ie CIPs, Invoices, Day Works, WRs, VOs etc), reporting R6/IP Variation and Damage Reporting issues as identified (SOPs801 & 803).

12. Attendance on internal, client and Local Authority planning and coordination meetings as required.

13. Promote a diverse and inclusive working environment for all employees.

Value Proposition:

Salary: £52,500 - £57,500 per annum (dependant on qualifications, skills ,and experience)
Hours: 45 Hours Per Week Monday-Friday
Holiday: 25 Holidays plus UK Public Holidays
Company Pension Scheme - NEST 5% Employee and 3% Employer Contribution (Statutory Cap applies)
Vehicle: Option of JDT Caddy Van or Car Allowance
