Full job description

CNC Operator / Yard Person. 9am - 5: 30am. WEDNESDAY - SUNDAY.

We are seeking a new member of our small team to help produce oak frames and other components on our CNC machine at weekends, yard duties in the week.

Duties

CNC operator at weekends. Hundegger K2i machine. Training provided.
Loading/unloading timber.
Goods in / out procedures.
Occasional small deliveries on transit vehicle.

What We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything already. We're looking for attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.

Ideally, you'll have:

An interest in carpentry, woodworking, engineering or manufacturing
Good practical and problem-solving skills
Basic maths and measurement skills
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual handling when required

The following would be beneficial but are not essential:

Carpentry or woodworking experience
Workshop or manufacturing experience
Mechanical aptitude or machinery experience
Forklift licence or materials handling experience

Full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Other info:

Reliable and good timekeeping.
Use of power tools and carpentry experience is essential.
Basic maths skills.
Experience in materials handling, including heavy lifting.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for suitable candidates.

Pay: £27,500.00 per year
