Full job description

Position: Hotel Receptionist

Location: Crow Wood Hotel, Burnley, BB12 0RT

Hours: 40 per week. Full time

Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort is one of Lancashire’s luxury hotel destinations, offering elegant accommodation, exceptional dining, award winning spa facilities, and unforgettable experiences. Our stunning property features 86 bedrooms, 3 restaurants, a Leisure Centre, an award-winning spa, and event spaces designed for every occasion.

We are looking for an hotel receptionist, preferably with experience of working in a 4-star hotel, to provide a friendly, efficient and welcoming service to our guests.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills (face to face, email and telephone), will be able to work to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail and will take pride in their work.

The role is shift work with a mixture of early (6.45am starts) and late (11.15pm finish), including weekends on a rota system.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are a team player and willing to multi task to help out in other departments where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor
Handle the check-in and check-out processes efficiently
Manage room reservations via phone, email, and booking platforms
Answer and direct incoming calls, transferring guests to other departments when needed.
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
Maintain accurate records of bookings and payments
Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and presentable
Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments as needed
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

About you:

Previous experience in a customer service facing role preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible with shifts, including working weekends and public holidays
A team player who can build positive working relationships across departments.
Enthusiastic, professional, and committed to maintaining high service standards at all times.
