Full job description

National Medicare Services Ltd is a CQC-registered care provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred home care and live-in care services to adults aged 18 and over. We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team.

In this rewarding role, you will support individuals to live safely and independently in their own homes while promoting dignity, choice and wellbeing. Every day is different, and you will play a vital role in helping people maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Whether supporting someone with personal care, companionship, medication or accessing the community, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of those you support.

Responsibilities

Provide person-centred care and support tailored to each individual's needs, preferences and care plan.
Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting where required.
Support with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration.
Prompt or assist with medication in accordance with training and company policies.
Support individuals with household tasks, including light domestic duties and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Accompany individuals to appointments, shopping and community activities where appropriate.
Promote independence, dignity, choice and respect at all times.
Build positive, professional relationships with individuals, families and healthcare professionals.
Observe and report changes in an individual's physical or emotional wellbeing.
Complete accurate care records and documentation following each visit or shift.
Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
Adhere to all CQC standards, company policies and health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in health and social care is desirable but not essential, as full training may be provided for the right candidate.
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards one, is desirable.
Compassionate, patient and committed to delivering outstanding care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.
Good written and spoken English.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable for domiciliary care roles.
