Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team at Blackloom Cafe & Lounge at Hornchurch! In this dynamic role, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued and satisfied. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and care
Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and providing friendly service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper hygiene practices and handling procedures
Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods as needed
Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
Monitor stock levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking items to ensure smooth service flow

Skills

Proven barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Experience serving customers in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
Good math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset to contribute to a lively work environment
