Service Description

Our homes accommodate two young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and our aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in our care. Our support workers are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day to day life. This means being there for the highest highs and lowest lows. Our support workers enable our young people to get their childhood back and create pathways to become well rounded adults – an incredibly rewarding role to have

Job Purpose

Lead a team of support workers in being appropriate role models to children in the home and help meet children’s practical needs by providing support, advice, and assistance.

· Help children address their problems, concerns, and previous trauma and work with them to achieve health, well-being, and education outcomes, enabling them to reach their full potential.

· Support the Manager and Deputy Manager by organising and leading the day-to-day shifts in the home appropriate to the statement of purpose, children’s guide, placement plans and workforce plan under the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.

· Take responsibility for managing activities, coordinating safeguarding concerns, supporting children in health and education and ensuring the smooth running of the shift.

Ensure children’s views are considered in their care management and support

Summary

As a Residential Senior Support Worker (Team Leader), you will oversee a dedicated team in providing high-quality care to residents, ensuring their well-being and support. Reporting to the Care Manager, your leadership will guide the implementation of care plans while fostering effective communication among staff and residents. Your core skills in supervising and leadership, combined with premium expertise in senior care and driving, will enhance the living experience for our residents. Additionally, your proficiency in IT will aid in maintaining accurate records and improving service delivery. Join us in making a meaningful impact in our community.

Qualifications

Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare
Proven experience in supervising and leading a team in a residential care setting
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, residents, and families
Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
Familiarity with IT systems to manage documentation and reporting
Background in senior care, ensuring high standards of support and safety for residents
