Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in line with restaurant standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards across all menu items
Support food preparation activities, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
Ensure proper food safety practices are followed at all times, including hygiene standards and storage procedures
Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Assist in training new team members and fostering a positive team environment

Qualifications

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
Demonstrated ability to manage team members effectively and lead by example
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
A recognised culinary qualification or relevant industry certifications are preferred
