Full job description

Job Summary

ESS Scotland Ltd is a growing construction and maintenance company, and due to continued expansion we are looking to recruit an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent work across a variety of commercial projects throughout Scotland.

Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of painting and decorating to a high standard.
Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, stripping and priming.
Apply emulsion, gloss, satin, stains and specialist coatings.
Hang wallpaper and carry out decorative finishes where required.
Work on commercial refurbishment, reactive maintenance and fit-out projects.
Protect surrounding areas and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Complete work within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent quality.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Communicate professionally with clients, site managers and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
Full UK driving licence.
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
CSCS card (preferred).

Desirable

Experience working on commercial properties.
IPAF or PASMA certification (advantageous but not essential).
