Full job description

Role:

We are looking for an accurate, detail-orientated Wages Clerk / Payroll Administrator to manage our end-to-end payroll for over 150 employees.

Operating in a fast-paced seasonal business, you will ensure our diverse workforce - including young workers - is paid accurately and on time using Pegasus Opera Software.

We are looking for someone to work 3 days per week (approximately 21 hours).

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: run end-to-end payroll and check physical clocking in cards.
Employee Lifecycle: process new starters, leavers, contract changes and P45s.
Compliance and RTI: handle HMRC RTI submissions (FPS/EPS) and statutory deductions.
Statutory Pay & Pensions: process SSP, SMP, SPP and pension auto-enrolment.
Records and Queries: maintain GDPR-compliant files and resolve internal staff pay queries.

Key Requirements:

Experience: proven background as a Payroll / Wages Clerk or Finance Assistant.
Software: experience with Pegasus Opera is highly desirable (training provided).
Knowledge: strong understanding of current UK Payroll Legislation and tax codes.
Skills; high numerical accuracy, attention to detail and comfortable with seasonal staff dynamics.
