Overview

Join our vibrant coffee shop team as a Coffee Shop Assistant and become a vital part of creating an energizing and welcoming environment for our customers! In this dynamic role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, providing friendly and efficient service
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, or snacks in accordance with food safety guidelines
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment at all times
Manage cash register transactions with basic math skills, including handling payments and giving correct change
Restock supplies regularly to ensure the availability of ingredients, cups, utensils, and other essentials
Follow all food safety procedures diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination

Requirements

Prior experience as a barista or in serving roles is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Knowledge of food safety practices and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace
Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and efficiently
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude toward customer service
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
