Full job description

NDT / NDE Technician

IPP Group are looking to recruit an NDT Technician to join our existing team of shop floor engineers in our Barton-under-Needwood manufacturing facility, producing critical piping components to the oil and gas industry .

You would be responsible for ensuring product compliance in relation to a high end product line, in accordance with stringent client specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate would also be responsible for non-destructive testing of pipes, tubes, pipe fittings and forged flanges. They'd also be involved with the calibration of equipment, completing non-conformance reports and producing bespoke NDT reports.

The successful candidate must;

PCN Level II (2) qualification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (22).
Relevant experience of inspecting pipes, fittings and flanges.
Have good working experience of Microsoft office based programs; Word & Excel.
Be able to demonstrate good time management and problem solving skills.

The following skills would also be advantageous;

PCN Level II (2) qualification in Ultrasonic Testing (24) for forgings and plate.
PCN Level II (2) UT (24) for welds, Magnetic Particle Testing (21), Visual Testing (23)
Oil and Gas industry experience, most notably ASME B16.9 and ASTM B16.5 fittings & flanges.
