About Navy Professional
Navy Professional is a fast-growing British beauty brand specialising in considered nail and hand care.
Founded on a farm in Yorkshire, we create professional-grade tools and treatments rooted in craftsmanship, quality and consistent care. Our products are trusted by leading nail professionals and increasingly used by customers who believe their hands and nails deserve the same attention as their skin.
As the brand continues to grow, we are bringing more of our digital marketing capability in-house. We are now looking for a CRM Executive to support the day-to-day management and development of email and SMS.
The role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning plans and ideas into well-executed customer communications.
Working closely with the Senior eCommerce and Digital Marketing Specialist, you will build, schedule and optimise Navy’s email and SMS activity through Klaviyo. You will manage the campaign process from brief through to send, including audience selection, subject lines, testing, quality assurance and performance reporting.
The overall CRM strategy will be led by the Senior eCommerce and Digital Marketing Specialist, but we want someone who contributes to it. You will be expected to bring ideas, identify opportunities in the data and consider how email and SMS can support wider trading, product and brand priorities.
It would suit someone with 1 to 2 years’ experience who already understands the practical side of CRM delivery and is ready to take greater ownership of a commercially important channel.
Key responsibilitiesCampaign delivery
- Build and schedule email and SMS campaigns in Klaviyo.
- Turn campaign briefs and creative assets into accurate, well-structured communications.
- Write and refine subject lines, preview text and concise supporting copy.
- Select and build appropriate customer segments for each campaign.
- Set up personalisation, dynamic content and promotional logic where required.
- Complete thorough pre-send checks across links, content, audiences, offer details and device types.
- Maintain an organised campaign calendar and ensure activity is delivered on time.
- Coordinate with internal teams and creative support to gather the content and assets needed for each send.
Automation and customer journeys
- Support the ongoing management and improvement of Klaviyo flows.
- Monitor automated journeys for errors, outdated content and changes in performance.
- Build agreed flow updates, tests and new customer journeys.
- Check that triggers, filters, exclusions and timing rules work as intended.
- Help create a joined-up experience across email and SMS, avoiding unnecessary duplication or excessive contact.
Testing and optimisation
- Set up structured tests across subject lines, content, creative, send times, offers and calls to action.
- Keep a clear record of what has been tested and what was learned.
- Support improvements to segmentation and personalisation as our customer understanding develops.
- Apply deliverability best practice while balancing engagement, customer value and commercial opportunity.
Reporting and insight
- Produce regular reporting across email and SMS campaigns, automated flows and audience growth.
- Track commercially meaningful measures including revenue, conversion, clicks, orders and revenue per recipient.
- Look beyond headline open rates to understand how customers are responding and where performance is weakening.
Planning and collaboration
- Support the development and population of the email and SMS campaign calendar.
- Suggest relevant CRM activity around launches, seasonal priorities, promotions and wider company goals.
- Work with other departmental teams so customer communications feel coordinated.
- Help translate Navy’s brand voice into clear, useful email and SMS content for both consumer and professional audiences.
- Bring forward ideas for improving retention, repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.
About you
You will already have practical experience working with CRM campaigns, ideally within ecommerce, retail, beauty or another consumer brand.
You are comfortable working inside a CRM platform rather than only briefing or coordinating activity. You understand that good execution depends on the less visible details: accurate segmentation, working links, correct offer terms, sensible exclusions and a proper final check before anything is sent.
You will be comfortable working independently as part of a hybrid team. That means keeping colleagues informed, being responsive during working hours and raising questions or blockers early. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their workload without becoming disconnected from the wider team.
You will also be curious about performance. We are looking for someone who wants to understand why a campaign worked, not simply report that it did.
Essential experience and skills
- Around 1 to 2 years’ experience in CRM, email marketing, retention marketing or a closely related role.
- Hands-on experience using Klaviyo is essential.
- Experience building and scheduling email campaigns.
- A working understanding of segmentation, automated flows and campaign reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and a reliable approach to quality assurance.
- Confident written English, with the ability to write clear subject lines and concise customer-facing copy.
- Comfortable working with campaign data and drawing practical conclusions from it.
- Able to manage deadlines across several campaigns without losing accuracy.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to contribute ideas.
- Able to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities independently and maintaining clear, proactive communication with colleagues.
Useful, but not essential
- Experience managing SMS through Klaviyo or a similar platform.
- Experience working for an ecommerce, beauty, wellness or lifestyle brand.
- Familiarity with Shopify.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for email.
- Experience with A/B testing and email deliverability.
- An understanding of customer lifecycle, retention and repeat-purchase marketing.
- Experience adapting communications for different customer groups or markets.
What success will look like
During your first few months, you will become confident managing Navy’s regular email and SMS delivery, understand our audiences and establish a dependable campaign process.
Over time, you will help us improve the quality of execution, develop a more useful testing programme and turn campaign reporting into clear actions. You will also play an active part in shaping how CRM supports customer retention and the wider growth of the business.
