Home Manager – Supported Living (Willesden, NW London)

Cranhurst Road – Callaway Care and Support

Supported Living | 6-bed service | NW London

Looking for a Registered Manager who wants to take ownership of a small service and lead it properly.

Callaway Care and Support are taking over an established supported living service in Willesden and are looking for a strong, experienced Registered Manager to lead the service forward.

This is a real opportunity to step into a service at an important point in its journey and shape how it is run, bringing consistency, structure, and high-quality support to the people who live there.

The Service

Cranhurst Road is a supported living service based in Northwest London, supporting six adults with learning disabilities and autism, some of whom present with moderate to complex needs and behaviours that require consistent, clear staff boundaries and a structured approach to support.

The service provides 24-hour waking support and is located in a well-connected area, close to local shops, transport links, and community spaces. This creates opportunities for the people we support to access their local environment, build meaningful routines, and develop independence in a way that works for them.

At its best, this service is built on consistency. The people living here benefit from familiar routines, predictable support, and staff who understand how to respond in a calm, structured way. With the right leadership in place, there is a strong foundation to build a stable, well-run service where both tenants and staff can thrive.

About Us

At Callaway Care and Support, we are a Northwest London provider supporting autistic adults and individuals with learning disabilities through supported living and residential care.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the service and lead it with confidence and clarity.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring that care is safe, structured, and delivered consistently across the team. This is a hands-on leadership role, and you will be expected to maintain a visible presence within the service, supporting staff and overseeing practice.

You will lead and develop the team, set clear expectations, and ensure that care delivery reflects the needs of the individuals being supported. You will also take ownership of compliance, quality, and overall service performance, working closely with senior leadership to embed Callaway’s systems and approach.

You will be supported by a hands-on senior leadership team who are actively involved in services, particularly during the transition period.

This role would suit someone who is confident taking ownership of a service and leading a team with clear structure and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the service to achieve and maintain a CQC rating of Good or above, ensuring that care is safe, person-centred, and clearly evidenced in practice and documentation.

You will oversee care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and reflective of how care is delivered day to day. You will ensure that staff understand and apply key principles such as the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and that these are embedded in everyday practice.

You will manage staffing across the service, including rotas, recruitment, and performance management, ensuring there are safe staffing levels and a consistent team in place. You will support staff through supervision and development, creating a culture where expectations are clear and standards are maintained.

You will take responsibility for safeguarding, ensuring concerns are identified, reported, and acted on appropriately. You will also maintain high standards of record keeping, ensuring documentation is accurate and supports safe care.

You will monitor service performance, including budgets and quality indicators, and carry out regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure the service continues to develop.

You will also build positive relationships with families, commissioners, and external professionals, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative approach.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with at least one year’s experience in a care management role, ideally within supported living, residential, or domiciliary care. You will have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism and a good understanding of the needs of individuals requiring structured and consistent support.

You will hold a Level 5 Diploma or be working towards it, and have a strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and key legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.

You will be confident leading a team, setting expectations, and taking ownership of a service. You will be organised, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a clear focus on quality and safety.

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role is £38,000 per year, alongside 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
