Domiciliary Support Worker (Part-Time / Full-Time)

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time or Full-Time Domiciliary Support Worker to join our growing support service.

The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively in English or Welsh both verbally and in writing.

USE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE IS ESSENTIAL AND A FULL UK LICENSE

The Role

As a Domiciliary Support Worker, you will provide support to both children and adults within their own homes and local communities. The role is varied and rewarding, focusing on promoting independence, wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive outcomes for the individuals we support.

Support may include:

Supporting children and adults with learning disabilities in their daily lives.
Providing companionship and emotional support.
Assisting with personal care where required.
Supporting individuals to access community activities and social opportunities.
Encouraging and promoting independence and life skills.
Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition.
Supporting individuals following hospital discharge or during periods of increased need.
Working in partnership with families and other professionals to ensure high-quality, person-centred support.

The ability to build positive relationships, demonstrate patience and understanding, and adapt support to meet individual needs is essential.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience supporting children with learning disabilities.
Full UK driving licence.
Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends where required.
Excellent communication in Welsh or English and interpersonal skills.
A caring, reliable and professional approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
The right to work in the United Kingdom.

Important Information

We are a Licensed Sponsor organisation based in North Wales. Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the areas we support and be able to travel independently to service users' homes.

Only applicants who can demonstrate previous experience supporting children with learning disabilities will be considered for this position.
