Chef de Partie – The Cornish Arms

Tavistock, Devon

The Cornish Arms is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our award-winning kitchen team.

Recognised with a Michelin Bib Gourmand and consistently featured in the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs, The Cornish Arms is renowned for producing exceptional food in a relaxed, welcoming environment. The Role ~

As Chef de Partie, you’ll be responsible for running your own section, working closely with the Head Chef and senior team to deliver consistently high standards in a busy, fresh-food kitchen.

Key Responsibilities ~

Take ownership of your section during preparation and service.
Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard.
Work with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Support the training and development of junior chefs.
Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising waste.
Contribute ideas and maintain the high standards expected of an award-winning kitchen.

About You ~

We’re looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or is a strong Commis Chef ready to take the next step.
Has a genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
Thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in every dish.
Is reliable, organised and works well within a close-knit team.
Is eager to learn, develop and build a long-term career.
