Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (Day/Night)
Location: The Red House
Pay: Age Related Minimum Wage
Contract Type: Full-time
Shift Pattern: 12 hr shifts 8am -8pm
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our family, offering support to our elderly residents and making a positive difference in their lives.

Role Overview:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be a key member of our compassionate team, supporting residents with their daily care needs. You’ll help with personal care, provide emotional support, and assist in promoting a safe and comfortable living environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate about elderly care and making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support residents with mobility, ensuring comfort and safety.
Assist with feeding and ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, enhancing their quality of life.
Monitor residents’ health, reporting any changes in condition to senior staff.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
Participate in social and recreational activities to promote resident engagement.
Adhere to all nursing home policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in a care setting is an advantage but not essential.
A compassionate, caring, and patient nature.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently when required.
A willingness to learn and undertake further training and development.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' dignity.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and days (if applicable).
Care Certificate, NVQ, or similar qualification desirable but not essential.
