Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for vehicle maintenance to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, and electrical components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify faults accurately
Carry out welding and heavy lifting as required during repair procedures
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and parts utilised
Assist with the installation of new components and equipment on vehicles
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Clear and concise documentation of wok completed

Requirements

Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or repair, with strong mechanical knowledge
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair machinery
Ability to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Own Tools
Uk Driving Licence
Good communication skills
Level 2/3 qualified
MOT Licence advantageous but not essential

Hours of Work

Mon - Thurs 08.00 - 17.30

Friday 08.00 - 12.00

** No Weekends**
