Full job description

Daiwa Sports LTD is seeking a motivated and organised I.T. Assistant to join our small and friendly IT department. This role is focused on providing desktop and user support across the business, ensuring employees have the technology, systems, and assistance they need to work effectively.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Windows network environments who enjoys helping users, solving technical issues, and working with a wide range of IT equipment and software.

Key Responsibilities

Desktop Support

Configure and deploy desktop PCs, laptops, and other IT equipment.
Install and configure software applications.
Connect devices to the company network and ensure they operate correctly.
Liaise with hardware and software vendors regarding purchases, support, and maintenance.
Monitor and manage printer consumables and basic printer support.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets and equipment.

User Support

Provide first-line support for staff members experiencing technical issues.
Assist users with software operation and troubleshooting.
Create and maintain user accounts on the company network and email systems.
Carry out routine administrative tasks within the company ERP system.
Assess and recommend software solutions to meet business requirements.
Support users with laptops, mobile phones, and other workplace technology.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working within a Windows Network Environment.
Experience providing desktop and user support.
Good understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and common business software.
Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration and user management.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.

Desirable Skills

Experience with ERP systems.
Knowledge of network fundamentals.
Experience supporting mobile devices and remote users.
Familiarity with IT asset management and procurement processes.
