Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within a 29-bedded EMI/Residential setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support. This post is for a part time position with a minimum of 16 hours covering days and back shifts. It is to be noted that this is the minimum contractual hours but additional hours may be required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans.
Support individuals with mobility needs, including helping them move safely around the premises.
Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental well-being.
Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure personalised care delivery.
Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Paperwork

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is preferred. One year of experience is essential in working in the health and social care sector
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are desirable.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals. This position is ideal for caring individuals committed to delivering exceptional support while fostering independence and dignity among those they assist. Applicants should be organised, empathetic, and possess excellent communication skills to succeed in this rewarding role.

Pay: £12.80-£13.50 per hour
