Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team during night shifts. This vital role involves providing compassionate care and support to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing environment and possess relevant experience working with children. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while working within a supportive team.

Duties

Supervise children overnight, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the shift
Support children with daily routines, including personal care, meal times, and bedtime procedures
Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
Foster positive relationships through effective communication and emotional support
Monitor behaviour and intervene appropriately to promote a secure environment
Maintain accurate records of incidents, activities, and progress in accordance with organisational policies
Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to support children's development and well-being
Ensure the residential environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
Knowledge of child protection procedures and safeguarding policies
Competent in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Compassionate, patient, organised, and able to work independently during night shifts
Basic understanding of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly

This role is essential for providing high-quality care during night hours, supporting children's safety and emotional needs. The successful candidate will be part of a committed team dedicated to making a positive impact on young lives.

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
